DIRECTIONS

Directions: From Los Angeles

- Go East on I-10 for 2 hours.
- Go North/East on Hwy 62 for 45 minutes.
- Hwy 62 will take you into Joshua Tree, there will be signs for Joshua Tree National Park. (Keep an eye out for Joshua Tree Inn on the right).

- Follow signs and take a right onto Park. You will notice the Visitor Center just outside (also across the street from Joshua Tree Store)

- Drive for 5 minutes and you will get to the gate for the park. (It's $15 per car. You get 7 day pass with re-entry.)
- After gate, continue for 25 minutes and you will see signs for Sheep Pass campsite.

We are campsites 4 and 5. (On the Joshua Tree Park map, it looks like there's a turn, but there's not, just go straight. You'll know you're close when you pass Hall of Horrors, and Ryan Campsites)

- There's no phone reception IN the actual park, so print these instructions/maps out, you probably won't be able to call us for help (because we will be in the park)! Instructions will be very easy to follow though, so do not fret.

Weekend Schedule

Campsites are available beginning Noon on Saturday, September 15, 2012 through Noon on Monday, September 17, 2012 (if it is the case that you want to camp a second night on your own to head out the next morning after our wedding).

Saturday night around 5pm a BBQ dinner will be provided.

Sunday morning, September 16, 2012 – church service at the campgrounds around 9am for those who would like to participate.

Sunday afternoon 4pm start heading to Inn. Please do not arrive at Inn before 4pm, people will be setting up.

Wedding Ceremony will be at 5pm & reception immediately following!

CAMPING LIST: Saturday (Day+Camp Night BEFORE Wedding)

Camping List Necessities:

- Water - a gallon per person per day.
- Flashlight with extra batteries
- Tent
- Sleeping bag
- Clothes for night: bring layers. It's pretty cold at night in the desert, despite it being pretty hot in the day.
- Sleeping pad/Air mattress/Yoga Mat – ground is harder than you think!
- Pillow
- Hat - Baby Wipes
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Camping chair
- Food will be provided Saturday night, Sunday night. So while camping you will need to bring food for Sunday Breakfast, Sunday Lunch. Also Saturday lunch, unless you eat right before you enter park. (Can run into town and eat, it's pretty neat and about 30 min out of the park.)
- Don't bring firewood. We will supply firewood.
- Earplugs? Someone in a tent nearby might snore.
- Bugspray? We haven't had problems but if you have allergies.
- Printed out maps/instructions!
- It's warm during the day, chilly at night. Bring layers.
- There's lots of rock climbing to be done, bring sneakers.

FYI – There's outdoor restrooms by the campsite.
FYI – If necessary we will provide 10 min or so for you to clean up at the Inn before the wedding. Don't think we can have 40 people taking showers and getting dolled up, so hopefully a 10 min touch up works.

***Giselle wants to add: “I'd love to see you girls in your after-desert camping/hiking tan and wavy hair glory!”

Alcohol

Note on Alcohol: The Joshua Tree Inn was kind enough to let us have a wedding there, they've never done that before, so we want to be very kind to the place. It's a small, kooky inn with a lot of history and we don't want to disturb that. So there won't be an "open bar". Sorry. There will be wine at dinner, and beers later on in the evening, but we ask for everyone to stay in control. No drunk. No drama.

***Just happy in the air!

Dress Code for Wedding Day

We will be in the desert, in the middle of September, so it will be hot.
Ahh, the beaming sun rays. So energizing & beautiful on our skin.

The dress code is "Beach Semi-Formal":
Ours is a desert wedding, yes. But wear what you think would be appropriate for a beach wedding!

Women:
Summer/boho dresses. Flowy skirts. Sun hats. Dressy tops...
Here are some examples:

Men:
Khakis. Chinos. Dark/dressy jeans. Linen shirts. Hats. Slacks...
Here are some examples:

Shoes:
No flip flops, unless they are a little nicer. If you want to wear nice sandals (both men and women), that's fine. & everything else: nice sneakers, heels, and cute flats -- are fine too!

Wear breathable fabrics for comfort from the heat during the day. In the evening, after 7pm, it begins to get significantly cooler. So, bring sweater or jacket to wear at night!
